A postdoctoral fellowship is available in the Clinical Neurogenetics
Section of the Intramural Research Program of the National Institute on
Drug Abuse (NIDA-IRP).

The Clinical Neurogenetics Section employs both experimental and
quantitative methods to understand genetic influences on susceptibility
(vulnerability) to drug dependence. The Section has several research
objectives: (1) to better understand the role of genetic influence in drug
dependence, (2) to identify subtypes of drug dependence that are
primarily genetically influenced, (3) to determine common genetic
influences that underlie drug dependence and other disorders, and (4) to
experimentally study genetic influence on drug response (including
dependence states and response to treatment medication).

Postdoctoral stipend: $27,500 - $42,000, depending on experience.
Preference will be given to individuals with training in behavior genetics
or epidemiology/ statistics. However, individuals with experience in
human laboratory research will also be considered.
