According to the by-laws of the Behavior Genetics Association there are three classes of members:

  1. REGULAR MEMBERS. Members shall be persons who are engaged in teaching or research related to behavior genetics and who subscribe to the purposes of the corporation. Application for regular membership and payment for current dues (US $60) should be sent to the Treasurer. [Regular Membership Application Form in PDF format]
  2. ASSOCIATE MEMBERS. A student in good standing at a recognized college or university may apply for associate membership provided his/her application is endorsed by a regular member. Associate membership applications and payment for Associate Membership dues (US $30) should be sent to the Treasurer. When an associate member completes her/his professional degree, she/he should apply for regular membership. [Associate Membership Application Form in PDF format]
  3. EMERITUS MEMBERS. Retired members of the association are officially identified as emeritus members of the association, after their notification to the Secretary that they have retired.

Regular, associate and retired members are entitled to full membership privileges, including voting privileges and an annual subscription to the bimonthly journal Behavior Genetics.

We would like to encourage members to take an active role in recruiting new members, both Regular and Associate. Please encourage students and colleagues in your department and in other societies to join the Association.
