BGA 2002 Annual Meeting

The 32nd Annual Meeting of the Behavior Genetics Association will be held at the Keystone Resort, Keystone, Colorado, USA, 3rd-6th July 2002. Marianne Wamboldt, MD will serve as Local Host.

Abstracts are also available. You will need an username and password which have been announced through the BGA email list.

NEW CHANGE Poster boards will be 4 feet (1.22 meters) high by 6 feet (1.83 meters) wide. They are made of corkboard, so make sure you bring your own thumbtacks to attach your poster.

There will be both slide projectors and LCD's (two LCD's - one for each room). You should bring your powerpoint talk on a CD if possible, to download on the laptop available. Or, you can email it to Marianne Wamboldt.

There have been several large fires in Colorado over the past month. Thus far, none of them directly threaten Denver or Keystone, and we hope that there will be no new ones. However, there may be smoke over Denver on flights coming in.

Registration fees include the reception, annual banquet (except for on-site single day registration), coffee breaks, and other meeting expenses. For members not current on dues: Registration fees must be paid at the Non-Member rate. Please note: To be eligible for the non- member student rate, an individual must provide documentation of their student status (e.g., copy of student ID or letter from the department chairperson).

To cancel an advance registration, registrants must send a written request to be received no later than June 1, 2002. A $75.00 processing fee to cancel the registration will be deducted.

Transportation

Keystone has negotiated specially reduced transportation packages to Denver on United Airlines, Delta Airlines or American Airlines. These packages include round-trip ground transfers and do not require a Saturday night stay. Contact your Keystone reservation agent at 800-258-0437 about "Transportation Packages."

United Airlines offers attendees a 10% discount off full coach fares or 5% discount off any published fare for domestic service on all United or United Express flights in the United States and Canada. Please call United's Meeting Desk at 800-521-4041 and refer to Meeting ID No. 593XT.

Ground transportation is available through Resort Express. This local van and limousine company provides convenient and frequent service between Denver International Airport and Keystone at a round-trip fare of $84 - $98 for individual transfers. Approximate transfer time is 90 minutes.

From Denver International Airport (DIA), take I-70 West for 79 miles. Take exit #205 (Dillon/Silverthorne). Turn left onto Hwy. 6. Drive 7 miles until you see the Keystone Resort signs on your right.
