2011 Meeting website

The 2011 BGA meeting is being held from 6-9 June 2011 at the Hotel Viking in New Port, Rhode Island, USA. Valerie Knopik is the local host.

There will be a Festschrift for Professor John Loehlin on June 6 (Organizers: Irwin Waldman & Eric Turkheimer). The BGA opening reception will be on the evening of June 6th, with the BGA meeting from June 6-9th, 2011.

Information about fellowships and awards:

A limited number of travel awards will be made available to student members. Please see announcements regarding travel fellowships or contact the Program Chair, Michael Pogue-Geile at mfpg@pitt.edu

To apply for the Thompson award for outstanding presentation by an Associate Member, please be sure mark your abstract as eligible for the Thompson during abstract submission. Please see the relevant announcement or contact the Program Chair, Michael Pogue-Geile at mfpg@pitt.edu

To nominate a colleague (or for self-nomination) for the Fuller & Scott Award, please refer to the award announcement. Fuller & Scott nominees must be within seven years of receiving their terminal degree (e.g., Ph.D., M.D.). For this year’s award, individuals receiving their terminal degree in 2003 or later are eligible for the award. Nominations for the Fuller and Scott Award can be made by any member of BGA. To nominate someone/apply for the Award, please send (by email, fax, or regular mail) a brief letter explaining why the individual should receive the award, along with a copy of the nominee’s CV, to the BGA Secretary, Arpana Agrawal (arpana@wustl.edu) before April 1st, 2011. Questions may be directed to the Secretary as well.

Non-US Dollar cheques are not accepted. For US Dollar cheques drawn on a bank outside the US (some Canadians banks seem to offer these), please add $20 to cover additional bank charges.

Please note, credit card payments are only accepted via the Google Checkout online payment system, not via post. Cheques must arrive to meet the posted deadlines.

Cancellation:
To cancel an advance registration, registrants must contact BGA Treasurer Chandra Reynolds no later than April 15, 2011. A $100 processing fee to cancel the registration will be deducted.
