The Department of Psychology at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for one tenure-track position at the Assistant to Associate Professor level in Clinical Psychology, pending budgetary approval, to begin in the Fall of 2026. We are seeking candidates with core training in Clinical Psychology whose research complements and builds upon our current research areas. Our primary interest is in candidates who do research on adult psychopathology.  Secondary consideration will be given to those with expertise in brain imaging or genetics. Candidates are encouraged to highlight how principles of transparency, openness, and/or generalizability have informed their approach to research. We also welcome candidates who can build our department-wide emphasis on varied cultures and perspectives by contributing research and training strengths in this area. The Psychology Department is committed to excellence in research and in teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Its 34 tenure-stream faculty offer five graduate training programs: Biological and Health, Clinical, Cognitive, Developmental, and Social, along with cross-program training opportunities. The interdisciplinary nature of psychological science is reflected in both faculty research interests and collaborations and training options afforded to graduate students.

The deadline for submitting applications is November 14, 2025. Applicants should assemble and submit a cover letter, CV, statement of research and teaching interests, up to three papers, and the names of three prospective referees. Other materials may be requested following the initial candidate review. For more information about the Department, including details about research emphasis in each of the five program areas, see http://www.psychology.pitt.edu.
